Tesla PPF Cost in Vancouver: Pricing Guide for Model 3, Y, S, X and Cybertruck (2026)

Tesla paint is notoriously thin. If you’ve owned one for more than a year and driven any BC highways, you’ve probably already noticed chips on the hood or front bumper — it’s one of the most common complaints in the Tesla owner community, and it’s not exaggerated.

Paint protection film in Vancouver is the solution, and we install more Tesla PPF at Speed Projects Lab than any other single make. Here are our exact prices for every Tesla model and every coverage level, so you can plan your budget before you book.

Why Tesla Paint Needs PPF More Than Most

Tesla uses an automated painting process that applies thinner coats than traditional manufacturers. The result is a finish that looks excellent from the factory but offers less resistance to rock chips, swirl marks, and abrasion than vehicles from BMW, Mercedes, or Toyota.

This isn’t a secret — it’s something Tesla owners across Vancouver and Richmond discover quickly on BC roads. Highway 1, the Sea to Sky, and even the SFPR generate significant debris that impacts a vehicle’s front end at high speed. Without PPF, a new Model 3 or Model Y in Vancouver can accumulate a noticeable number of chips within the first year.

XPEL Ultimate Plus PPF absorbs those impacts and self-heals minor surface scuffs with heat. Once installed on a Tesla, the paint underneath stays in showroom condition for the life of the film.

Which Package Makes Sense for Your Tesla?

New Model 3 or Model Y, mostly highway driving: Package C (Full Front End) at $1,750 is where most owners land. Full bumper, full hood, fenders, mirrors, and headlights covered before the first highway drive.

Prefer maximum front coverage: Package C Plus (Track Package) at $2,100–$2,350 adds the rockers — worth it if you regularly park in tight spaces, drive gravel roads, or want comprehensive front-end protection.

White or light colour, want to maintain the look long-term: Full body PPF at $4,750–$4,850. White Teslas show swirl marks and surface scuffs more visibly than darker colours — full body film keeps the paint looking new across every panel.

Want a colour change and protection: Full body Colour Change PPF at $4,800. You get a new colour and physical protection in one install, fully reversible if you sell or change your mind.

Already have front PPF, want to address daily wear: The Wear & Tear package ($300–$420) handles door handles, door edges, and the rear luggage area — the three spots that suffer most from daily in-and-out use.

Why Choose Speed Projects Lab for Your Tesla

As a certified XPEL installer in Vancouver, we’ve been installing PPF on Teslas since the Model 3 launched in Canada. Our SPL2 facility in Richmond, BC is a dedicated clean-room install bay — built specifically for paint protection film and coating work, completely separate from our performance and maintenance shop.

Dust and debris are the enemy of a quality PPF install. A general-purpose shop doing PPF on the same floor as mechanical work produces contaminated installs. SPL2 exists because we take the clean-room requirement seriously.

We are XPEL-certified, which means your warranty is manufacturer-backed and transferable to a future owner if you sell the vehicle.

Book your Tesla PPF appointment online or contact us if you have questions about your specific model or configuration.
