Not even close.
This 2015 Ford F-150 made the trip all the way from Yukon to our Richmond shop after the owner researched several PPF installers across Metro Vancouver and trusted us with replacing its original dealership-installed paint protection film.
After more than 10 years of Yukon winters, gravel roads, road salt, and UV exposure, the partial hood PPF had definitely reached the end of its life. It had shrunk, lost its gloss, and started lifting around the edges.
But here`s the surprising part...
Once we carefully removed the film using steam and cleaned away the remaining adhesive, the paint that had been protected for over a decade still looked significantly better than the adjacent section that had never been covered. The 50/50 comparison says it all. 👀
